If you are interested in signing up to be a referee please fill out this short survey and you will be contacted by email.

[Ref Clinic Registration]

Roster spots maybe limited and will fill up quickly so don't delay.  Walk-ins will only be accepted if there are fewer than 20 officials pre-registered in a clinic AND there are available openings on the youth roster.

Adult officials may attend a Wild Rose Ball Hockey Association clinic hosted by Hat Ball Hockey League.  WRBHA officials are eligible to officiate in the youth league and do not need to attend the GCBHL clinic.

Additional Information:

You must be 14 years of age to referee (2005 or earlier)

The cost of the clinic is typically between $20-25 and this will be deducted from your first cheque.  This covers the cost of lunch, the room and rule books.

Basic equipment required to officiate are a CSA Approved helmet for all officials (youth must also wear a visor), whistle (Fox 40 or Acme Thunderer finger style - no lanyards), referee jersey (ice hockey or ball hockey) and indoor running shoes.

Some jerseys may be available.  CBHA recommends Lika brand jerseys and must be purchased if you are selected to work in Provincials or Westerns.
