1) who can be on the bench during a game?

This one is easy, and you probably don’t need a definition of who’s not allowed on the bench during a game, but here it goes  … 9d states: “Only players in uniform, and a maximum of five team officials shall be permitted to occupy the players bench. These individuals shall be registered and entered on the official game report. A maximum of five team officials may be recorded on the official game report.”

Also, an injured player is permitted to be on the bench but they must at a minimum wear a helmet and cage. We encourage youth assistant coaches on the bench but they must also wear a helmet.  Remember they are are part of the team and can receive penalties. Participants under 18 must wear a helmet and cage while on the bench.

2) can I warm up early?

Sure but you can’t do it on the floor. Players are not allowed to warm up on the floor unless our floor time has started and are wearing their equipment. If it’s between games, at this point, we don’t object so long as players are fully dressed and ready to play, which means helmets and shin pads on, and only if your are scheduled to play the next game. No exceptions.
